Rainy Days.

Photobucket
It hardly ever rains here in Utah, so we take advantage of the rain when it comes. Chantel and Hanna couldn't pass up the opportunity to dance and play in the rain when it started falling.
Photobucket
Hanna seems to be catching raindrops, but Chantel just seems to be sticking her tongue out at me....
Photobucket
They ran to the street to dance and do the Macarena....
Photobucket
They had fun.

And got WET!

The Titans slay the Wildcats, and I saw an old friend from High School.

Titans vs. the Wildcats...The Sophomore Game...
Photobucket
Corbin had a great first game. The Titans played the Woods Cross Wildcats. Corbin's kicks were dead on, and he had a great offensive game. It was so great to see him play and have a good time. He practices so hard. Below Corbin pushes his opponent out of the way so the ball can come through.
Photobucket
Corbin is #27 on the Sophomore team.
Photobucket
We had so much fun watching this game. We cheered for the Titans and Corbin so loud my voice hurt. The Sophomore team won 36-16. Go Titans!
Photobucket
Varsity game.....
This was the first varsity home game. They had a huge turnout...lots and lots of school pride, and the team did not disappoint.

Photobucket
Corbin didn't get to play again, but Josh did a good job kicking for the team. Below the Channel 2 News Helicopter takes off after their visit to the Titans first home game. The Titans won the first home game 14-0. That makes the Titans 2-0. Go Titans!
Photobucket
Another fun thing that happened at the game was, by chance, I sat by a long lost friend from high school, Diane Lloyd. I was so surprised to see her. She lives in Eagle, ID. now, and *SHOCK* she's going to be a grandmother.....I'm getting so old. I was just thrilled to hear all about her life and family. What a bright part of my day. She was with her sister Valerie, and Brad Hammer. They also went to school with me. Here is a pic of Diane and me at the game.

Family Party

A party for Challis' Birthday.

Photobucket

We had a party Sunday to celebrate Challis' 18th birthday. We had a BBQ and enjoyed each others company. We were happy to have Grandpa and Grandma Dorman (Tiff's Mom and her Husband) Star, Jeff, Kylee and Rylie (Tiff's sister and family.) Here are some of the pics. Above: Challis, Below: Tiffany

Below: Kylee and Rylie
Everyone hanging out after dinner. Notice Rick doing dishes in the back. He always does the dishes (thanks hon.)
Kylee works on Challis' back.

Star, Rylie, and Jeff. Jeff said that when you turn 18 you get all the rights that suck...You can go to prison as an adult. And you can get drafted into war....congratulations. Oh, or you could buy cigarettes to kill yourself with.....or Vote for someone who doesn't care about you.

Our pretty girls, Chantel and Kylee.

Rylie is a pretty little thing also.

Corbin loves babies. He fed and played with her. He'll make a wonderful father someday.....far, far in the future....
Other families would have gone to the game room to watch the big screen or play games...not my family, we hung out at the little screen and watched Scare Tactics on YouTube.
We had fun. Thanks for coming over guys. We love you, and I hope you had a wonderful Birthday Challis.

High School

Just A Lowly Sophomore
Photobucket

Do you remember the first day of High School? I do, but my day was never as long as Corbin's was. He left home at 7:15 a.m. and didn't get home until 6:30 p.m. He had Football after school. I really missed him. He's been home so much for summer break, and now he's suddenly not here.

I asked him about the first day, and he said it was good. His teachers are cool, but there was only one cute new girl. I said that maybe the cute girls would be in his classes tomorrow. He said, "They better be, or I'm dropping out of High School tomorrow."

Friday Night Lights

Dressing Varsity #31
Photobucket
Football season is up and running. The Titans played their first game at Roy High School, and kicked their Royal Behinds 31 to 6. Corbin had the honor of dressing Varsity even though he's only a Sophomore. He is the Varsity 2nd string kicker, but he didn't get to play...maybe next time. He will however, be playing Thursday night for the Sophomore team as starting kicker, receiver, kick returner, punt returner, long snapper, and 2nd string corner. We can hardly wait to go...

Get Off The Road!

He Passed His Drivers Permit Test

stichntyme
Well, it’s been a big week here. Corbin passed his drivers test, and now he has a permit. So get out of the way if you see us comin’. He keeps telling me what a wonderful driver he is, yet I’m not so convinced. I try not to drive with my kids when they are learning to drive. There are just some words you shouldn’t here your mother say, and I’m libel to use some of them if I’m in the car while they are learning. I feel this task is better left to their father (Rick wants everyone to know he gets the sucky jobs....yep.)

This week was a big week for Challis also. He started a new job at Septcon. They design and make prints for tee-shirts. He is very excited not only because it pays more than Smiths, but he also gets to use computer art programs to do design work. It’s right down his ally. He will be keeping his Smiths job also as a checker on weekends, so you can still stop by and say hi when you are there.

Challis Gets A Car

Wow, his first car!
Photobucket
As some of you know, Rick and I have a rule when it comes to cars. You can not have a car until you have saved $2,000. When you have $2,000, we will match it, and you can finance an acceptable amount. Some people doubted that I would stick with it, but I did. I have this philosophy in life, nothing comes easy in life. You have to work hard for everything you get. No one will give you something for nothing. Anything worth having is worth waiting for. You always feel better if you’ve earned it. Trust and Responsibility are earned through trial. And lastly, those who work hard are rewarded with self-respect, and a little cash from Mom and Dad. :)
I’m proud of Challis. It took him 2 years to learn the lessons he needed to learn and save the money, but he got there. His car fits his personality and he’s really happy with it. I know he’s proud of himself too. We got a really good deal on it and it’s in great shape. I’m sure he’ll enjoy it. He got accepted to Weber St. yesterday, so he’s happy about that also.
Melissa, his girlfriend is in the pics too. She is happy for him, but isn’t sure about giving up all her driving power. She’s done all the driving for the past couple of years.
Congrats Chal, we love you.

Provo Falls....Again.

This time...it's with the kids...and their friends....

Photobucket
Corbin brought Bryan and Chantel brought Ciara this time. We were happy that they all came along. However, it wasn't the best day as far as the weather goes. It sprinkled on us now and then, but the rain held off, and we were grateful for that.

Photobucket

I just liked the rock...so I took a pic. :)
The river.
Here is Corbin....without a cell phone....AMAZING!

Channy thought it was a blast.
The kids all decided they wanted to go to the other side of the river...Rick and I didn't go....Too Cold for us.

It was so good for them to get out, climb, and enjoy nature.
Here Corbin and Bryan climb under an over hang to see the waterfall up close and personal.
Poor Caira lost her flip flop on the way back. She went after it until I freaked out. She only weights about 65 lbs, and I could just see her going over the falls. In this pic Chantel helps her back because she doesn't have a shoe anymore.

Bryan and Corbin at the falls. This pic is worth a 1000 words. It really shows their true personalities. Bryan, quiet and shy....Corbin, a show off and a goof.

Below Channy and Caira.

Chantel and I took turns piggy backing Caira back to the car....No shoes....

Here I am taking my turn. It was a great time.

Until...Rick lost the keys....We found them here in these rocks...Thank goodness.
