She's 12! Chantel had a wonderful birthday. I've never seen her more excited about a birthday before. She was filled with energy all day long. Here is the cake her grandmother brought her along with some cash. Channy was so excited for everything.
Channy said it was delirious. She also got a bike for her birthday...Her last one got stolen. I have to say..it was a bit of a disappointment...she really wanted a cell phone....To bad So SAD! One of her favorite gifts was a Twilight tee she got from dad and mom. Kylee came to wish her a Happy Birthday also. Channy loves her grandma. (remember mom you approved this pic for my blog...so don't complain about it)
Riley enjoys some cake. (I don't think 6 month old babies should have cake....see my mother to complain) The night ended at the restaurant of Channy's choice...Famous Dave's. It was yummy.
Some things about Channy.
1. She has grown about 4inches in the past year. 2. She loves to text her friends (along with boys.) 3. She likes boys now. 4. Her room is a mess. 5. She is a junk collector. She'll save anything. 6. She loves the Twilight books 7. She still hates to have her hair done, and will not do her own hair. 8. She talks a lot! Mostly about boys. 9. She is happy most of the time. 10. She hates math.
Touchdown! Corbin was so excited to get a touchdown against Davis High...Mainly because I went to high school there. Below is the catch followed by much celebration. The Catch...he didn't know the ball was coming to him...SURPRISE! He almost lost the ball. The Touchdown! The celebration hug with Lewie. The body slam with Braxton. Corbin playing defense. #27 Corbin on a kickoff. My favorite shot I took of the game. The Titan player in white is A.J. The Titans lost to the Darts....way to many turnovers. But the next night the Varsity team beat Davis to finish 2nd in the region. So, the Titans are off to the playoffs. They play Kearns Friday afternoon....on Halloween. GO TITANS! BEAT THE COUGARS!
Well, I talked to Heather and she gave me some things to try, and I think I'm getting a little better, but I've got a lot to learn. The one thing I've learned is...the sun is not my friend. I still have shadows. I'm determined to get better at this, so look for a lot more pics in the future. He really does look cute though.
I'm really trying to learn to use my new camera, but it's so hard. This is my photo shoot with Channy last night. I need to reshoot it, but not until I get some advice from my friend Heather.
Syracuse played Fremont last week. The Sophomores had a rough go of it, as some of the players had been suspended from the week before, but they managed a win. Corbin got his first high school interception, but I missed that photo op too. lol. He isn't very happy with my photo skills. Corbin spent most of the game playing defense, but played a little offense, did kickoffs, and was the placer for field goals. The Varsity managed to scrape by with a win 7-0. Which is pitiful considering Fremont is ranked at the very bottom. This week will be the last week Corbin plans to play. (He will be having surgery on Dec 4th.) The Titans will be playing the Davis Darts this week (That's where I went to high school. I'm a little torn) Should be a great game. Go TITANS! Or Darts...whatever.
One of my kids erased my iTunes. It's all gone! So, I am in need of help. I need songs. Not the music its self, but the names of good music I can run to. Please!
I had a wonderful morning today. My kids are off for UEA (sleeping in), Rick went to work and Chal was at work also. I sat by the fire, drank coffee, sat in silence, and looked at the warm glow of the lights on the mantel, and watched the flames dance. I just enjoyed a peaceful, cozy moment. I do love fall, it's so homey.
I'm sitting here in front of my fireplace. A storm warning crossing the bottom of my tv. Thinking, It can't have already started! The leaves haven't even changed on my trees! Yet, it's here! Winter! I hate winter! Have I missed my chance to climb to Malan's Peak one last time? I hope not. After all it's Utah. It could be 80 degrees next week.
