New York, Windsor Connecticut, and Boston!

K, I just wanted to say how excited I'm getting to go on my trip. 10 days of fun with Rick. It'll be a blast. I'm kinda unprepared though, so if any of you know some great spots I need to check out, places to eat or advice on how to get around....I really could use the insider tips. It's the first time I've ever been.

I never thought I'd get to go to New York or Boston. I'm not a big city girl either, so I never really even thought much about it, but now that it's here. I'm totally excited.

Now help me out...will ya?

Sorry, can't help...I've never been either but I will check with my friend Alli and let you know. She's a New Yorker at heart (only with a sweeter attitude ;) Have a great time! We'll miss you at Boot Camp but can't wait for the report.

LOVED both those cities. I have to say... walk the Freedom Trail in Boston. So much fun. That is where all the history is, and it is totally walkable. So much history. The Boston Commons is fun too. Such neat architecture. You can take the subway to Harvard too. There is a SUPER yummy mexican restaurant right outside the gates. Ask around... others will know the name of it. Take a water-taxi through the harbor. It is a really neat view (and A LOT cheaper than then harbor tours).

As far as New York. Since you guys are so athletic... I've heard the bike tours are a lot of fun. And a neat way to see a lot. We waited in line to see Live with Regis and Kelley, but there are a ton of shows you can go to. Especially since you are without kids, go to something Broadway. I LOVE "Wicked" if you haven't seen it... and Andrew actually liked it too, which is rare for him. Time Square is fun too. Make sure to take the Subway everywhere. Taxis are outrageous, as is parking. I liked going up the Empire State Building. Walking around Central Park is fun too. Frozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity is yummy too (remember the movie?) Not sure what is at "Ground Zero" now from 9/11, but we were there less than a year later, so it was really emotional. If you aren't too worried about actually stopping at the statue of liberty, then just take one of the water taxis. You get really close to it without having to pay for a tour.

A lot of our trip revolved around the baseball stadiums/games.

Hope some of this helps. HAVE FUN! I am jealous.

Definetly the Freedom Trail, and Quincy Market for shopping and eating! It's really called the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, but often known as Quincy Market. Fenway Park. Boston is such an old city, the architecture is amazing. If you are there for awhile you should take a ferry trip to Nantucket. I went there on my honeymoon and it was fun.
