Provo Falls....Again.

This time...it's with the kids...and their friends....

Photobucket
Corbin brought Bryan and Chantel brought Ciara this time. We were happy that they all came along. However, it wasn't the best day as far as the weather goes. It sprinkled on us now and then, but the rain held off, and we were grateful for that.

I just liked the rock...so I took a pic. :)
The river.
Here is Corbin....without a cell phone....AMAZING!

Channy thought it was a blast.
The kids all decided they wanted to go to the other side of the river...Rick and I didn't go....Too Cold for us.

It was so good for them to get out, climb, and enjoy nature.
Here Corbin and Bryan climb under an over hang to see the waterfall up close and personal.
Poor Caira lost her flip flop on the way back. She went after it until I freaked out. She only weights about 65 lbs, and I could just see her going over the falls. In this pic Chantel helps her back because she doesn't have a shoe anymore.

Bryan and Corbin at the falls. This pic is worth a 1000 words. It really shows their true personalities. Bryan, quiet and shy....Corbin, a show off and a goof.

Below Channy and Caira.

Chantel and I took turns piggy backing Caira back to the car....No shoes....

Here I am taking my turn. It was a great time.

Until...Rick lost the keys....We found them here in these rocks...Thank goodness.

Day Date

Provo Falls and Lofty Lake Loop Trail
Photobucket
Rick and I ended up on a date together this weekend quite by accident since we asked our kids if they wanted to come.....and they didn’t. Channy was reading Breaking Dawn, Challis went to church with Melissa, and Corb, “Just didn’t feel like it.” So, off we went to the Uintah’s.....and we had a blast without them. It’s roughly a 2 hour drive from our house to Provo Falls which is where we went first. Provo Falls is beautiful. If you’ve never been I highly recommend you stop, take in the breathtaking views, dip your toes in the water and take some pics.

Then we were off on a hike that we’d never done before, and it was amazing. Lofty Loop is a trail that starts across from Pass Lake. It’s about 4 miles long and you could take the kids if they're adventitious kids. It gets rocky in some areas, but I did see a 4 year old with her dad, and she seemed to be doing just fine on this class 2 hike. Lofty takes you through an amazing meadow that I’m sure was filled with flowers about 2 weeks ago. However, we did see some flowers. Then the trail takes you past 4 different lakes that are breath taking. Below is a map of the trail in yellow. I also added some links if you are interested in other hikes in Utah.

After the hike we went to Mirror Lake and ate a picnic dinner. It was fun to just relax, and watch the canoes and fishermen. On our way home we stopped at Taggert’s Diner and got some yummy dessert. It was a fabulous date...thanks baby. :)
