Family Pool Party (at Tom's)

Our last day with Donna was at a Pool Party that Tom and Brooke put together. We had quite a turn out, and a ton of fun.

Tom and Brooke have a community pool and rec facility that we were able to use. It was the perfect place to get together have some fun in the sun and eat. We started off at the pool. Here are some pics of Tom torturing, I mean playing with his children.

Rick and Uncle Jay. Uncle Jay always has an entertaining story or a joke....must have been a good one.

Then we were off to eat. The best part of any party.
Photobucket
Brooke made a great salad, and Alisha enjoyed some also.

I think Donna and Wendy were glad to see everyone. They seemed to enjoy themselves.

Aunt Tora helps out with the pizza. We were lucky to see Nate and Annette and their family who just happened to be in town. Misty helps Hailee get some dinner.

Amber.....how does she stay skinny and eat pizza? Lucky girl.

Cute little Em found a great place to eat.

I wish you could have heard the conversation the little boys were having. They were making me laugh. I think they had the best time of all.
Photobucket
After dinner some visited and some played a game of volley ball. The kids had a great time learning to serve the ball and the men that played were very patient.
Photobucket
Others enjoyed the playground.
Photobucket
In the end we were all tired and there were a few tears when it was time to leave.
Photobucket
We all got in our cars to go (Mylee in her's), and were so grateful to have spent time together.

Thanks for a great time guys....all our love to you until next time.

Family, Food, and FOOTBALL!

Superbowl XLlll (43) Arizona Cardinal's Vs. Pittsburgh Steeler's

We had so much fun at our family Superbowl Party. Thanks so much to everyone who showed up to eat, cheer, and gab. Rick's parents were in town, and I know they really appreciated seeing everyone.

Rick really has some fun cousins. I wish we lived closer, so we'd get to see them more often.....Well, we live pretty close to Oren and we hardly ever get to see him, so maybe it wouldn't make any difference.....Who knows.

Jay and Tora Showed up also. We ALL love them. My mom and Steve were there. We are always happy to see them. Steve is a old Steeler's fan, so I think he had a good time. The game was so much more fun with everyone pulling for their team.....Mostly the Cardinals. Both teams put on a great show. But the best part was delicious food everyone brought!

Steve wearing his team's colors, and Chantel obviously not a Steeler's fan.

Vickie (my mom) and Wendy (Rick's mom) Wear their team's colors.

I cheered for the Steeler's also....Go Team!
Photobucket
Corbin and Rick Cheered for that OTHER team.
Photobucket
Mylee, Channy, Alyssa, and Hayliann were not really into the football, but they did engage in some good Nintendo DS games.
Photobucket
Matt, Hayliann, and Tom, all Cardinal's fans....
Photobucket
Dick (Rick's dad), and Uncle Jay (Dick's brother) But, really what I wanted you to see were they yummy rolls Brooke brought. If I knew how to make them....I'd weigh 500lbs.
Photobucket
Aunt Tora, Brooke, Ryder, and Wendy all just gabbin'.
Photobucket
Most of the group. Somehow Amber, Misty, Amy, Oren, and most of the kids escaped from having their picture taken.
Photobucket
In the end the Steeler's took the game 27 - 23
Thanks again everyone! We're so glad you came.

So Happy They Came To Visit!

A Visit From Debbie and Don.
Photobucket
Rick's sister Debbie and his brother Don came for a visit this weekend. Don came as a last minute surprise, and we were so happy he did. We had so much fun with them. We really enjoyed every minute with them. Saturday morning we went to the Clark Planetarium to see the Imax movie The Alps. It was beautiful, and we all wanted to go to Switzerland to climb mountains after.

So, after the movie we went down the street at The Gateway and went rock wall climbing at Dicks sporting goods store. I even did the wall even though I am afraid of heights. Some of us made it to the top (Channy, and Tiff), some of us had extra help to make it to the top (Rick), some of us have a torn shoulder and didn't make it far at all (Corbin), and some of us did our best and had creative excuses.....unnamed.....

After our climb we met Amber and Joe (Rick's cousin and her husband) for a yummy dinner at Teppanyaki Grill. We really enjoyed the cooking show. After we had a fun visit at Matt and Misty's. I forgot to bring in the camera, but we just love how sweet they are. They let us hang and play pool. Sam was there too, and I'm glad we got to see him because he said he will be off to live in Denver after Christmas.
