He's Goin' to District, BABY!
Well, the good news is Corbin's going to district, but not for the High Jump. He was ripped off in the High Jump. He did his first jump, and then got called for the 4X4 relay. They took forever to start the race and didn’t hold up the High Jump. After his race, Corbin went back to jump, and they told him he had 3 chances to clear 5’8”. No one else had cleared the height, but they said they couldn’t lower it once it had be raised. Corbin barely nicked it. He could have cleared 5’7” easy, but they wouldn’t let him go back and do it. He was devastated......he’d worked so hard all week on his jumps. Poor kid. He should have gone to district in High Jump too.

On a happier note, Corbin did make district in the 4X1 relay (his team took 1st), and the 4X4 relay (his team took second.) One thing for sure....the boy can really run.
